My name is Aarthi (Aarti) and I am a Cloud Architect based in Belfast, NI, and I mentor and lead the cloud hyper scalar teams within Cloud and Engineering for Northern Ireland.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications in 2005 securing a first class with distinction and started off my job coding in the erstwhile Visual Basic after I got campus recruited by a leading Indian Multi National Company. Ever since, I have always focussed on progressive technologies and have continuously been embracing changes within the technology industry. In two years’, after my first coding job, I started off my little technology venture which unfortunately couldn’t survive the IT crash of 2007-08 and that was when I was offered an opportunity with Hewlett Packard in their Virtual Private Cloud division. I worked with them for 8 years and learnt a lot of the ever-changing cloud realm. I then moved to Dell Healthcare where I helped and learnt about archival solutions on cloud. Following this, I joined a large French Multinational playing a role in transforming the IT solutions for one of Europe’s largest pharmaceutical customers. I worked with them for 5 years before getting an opportunity to work with my current organisation in their Cloud and Engineering space where I am today. I am heavily engaged with cloud migrations and am aligned to the Northern Ireland region, where I work with some of the best minds of the organisation.

The work I do today is concentrated around building strategy and providing subject matter expertise around Cloud Transformation for UK’s Financial Services and Life Sciences industries. I am an accomplished cloud migration expert and am qualified to design the best suited cloud migration model depending on client’s requirement and willingness to move to cloud.

Over the years, I have not only worked and learnt from remarkable technology giants, but I have also been constantly giving back to the community. I have volunteered and mentored the less privileged and low-income women with interest in STEM subjects to increase their understanding in cloud computing. I now continue to provide this mentorship as a part of my social responsibility. My mentorship focusses on the significance of technology needs of businesses such as integrated experience, platform for easy governance, business agility, reliability with automation, replacing the capital expenditure with operational expenditure etc., and how they can be mapped with appropriate cloud computing features including bits of AI.
