Aisling O'Brien

Aisling is an experienced digital payment professional with expertise in tokenization, APIs and digital wallets across the EMEA region, which has delivered industry-first innovative solutions to both banks & merchants within the payment eco-system. During her career she has built relationships with major UK businesses to promote Mastercard’s API platform to execute hackathons and engage developer communities. She was also chosen to be a part of the Mastercard’s early career talent rotation program, presenting her with an opportunity to spend 6 months working in South Africa to launch tokenization & Samsung pay; one of the biggest developments in the industry since chip and pin. Today, she is working to scale and commercialize Qkr! a mobile app & digital wallet across EMEA.

Aside to her abilities to sell & implement new digital payment products she also is passionate about equality and actively pushes the envelope to change perception of rising talent within the technology industry. She has led the Mastercard Young Professional network where she chaired a leadership team to create program which would give young professional the opportunity to develop their skills & give them exposure to senior leadership. Aisling also actively support such initiatives like Girls4Tech, GDST Digital & Mayor of London Digital Talent programs which all have the objective of encouraging future talent to pursue STEM subject, in particular, girls.  Furthermore, she mentors an undergraduate student as part of Mastercard Female Mentoring program which supports students who are seeking a job in business to build their self-confidence and challenge them to discover their full potential.
