Anna Joanes-Cox

Over the last 25 years Anna had the pleasure of working with some of the world’s largest companies and household names in the technology sector to create a real connection with their clients and make their business stand out from the crowd.

Her roles have included all areas of marketing from hands-on content creation, desktop publishing, design, website/animation and video production through to strategic planning and more recently marketing data and reporting automation. She has also run her own marketing consultancy employing a number of freelance consultants specialising in content production up to the point of taking a career break to care for her children.

Anna now holds the position of Head of Strategy, Planning and Digital Marketing for EMEA & APAC at Verizon Business where she manage the advertising, media partnerships, social media handles, web content production and implementing the automation of data and reporting for the team in order for them make better decisions across the region.

Her commitment to corporate social responsibility and gender equality also takes centre stage for Anna where she has run many events, educational sessions to girls and young women. For example through the work that she has done with the GSMA and Equals partnership training 90 girls aged 10-25 and her efforts on the steering committee of the Young Entrepreneurs Challenge. An annual competition for 16 – 25 year olds to submit their tech led idea or business to receive a prize of £10k cash injection & mentorship package to guide them through taking their idea or business to the next level.
