Anna McMullen

I’m Anna. I’m Irish born, Scotland based. I have a BA (Hons) in Business and Management and an MSc in Human Resource Management. I am a Board Member of Scotland Women in Technology (SWiT).

My career path following university has meandered from a management position in a bar/ restaurant to starting in Hewlett Packard as an assistant to a Director, in order to get my foot on the Corporate ladder. Following that I applied for a role as Business Analyst, owning the Business Scorecard for the Spare Parts Supply Chain in another organization within HP. Within two years in this role, I was promoted to my present position as a Global Business Operations Manager specializing in Headcount and Location Strategy. It’s been a whirlwind 5 years.

During this time I have successfully completed my Lean Kaizen Green Belt Certification and was handpicked as one of the 14 candidates from a Global organization of 1200 to complete my Black Belt Certification last year. I was the youngest and only female in a pool of experienced and tenured folk. This was a very difficult undertaking due to its strategic importance for the organization. Now with a Lean Kaizen Black Belt Certification, I am a Lean Methodology advocate aiming to provide maximum value to the customer through creating and implementing perfect value creation processes that have zero waste. Remember! Double the good, half the bad!
