My background is deep-rooted in technology and growing up in a family of equally strong women and men role models I have developed a resolute believes in the women ability to thrive in anything we chooses to do. Attending an all-girl primary and secondary school I have always loved the problem solving allure in maths and science so choose to complete a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in my home country (Thailand) followed by two MSc’s in Telecommunication Engineering at University of Surrey (UK) and Ecommerce Engineering at Queen’s Mary University of London.
My first job was a technical support and site engineer for a payment system software provider in Hampshire. My drive to fix problems at source was quickly recognised and I was moved into the development team giving me my first commercial experience of software development. After 2 years I was ready for a bigger challenge and I joined Credit Suisse in 2005 as a Software Engineer in Market Risk Technology. During my 13-year tenure at Credit Suisse I have enjoyed and seized the opportunity to grow my career by taking on distinctly different roles from Java Developer, Oracle Database Engineer, Test Environment Service Team Lead and Testing Automation Team Lead. Such rich and varied hands-on experiences have given me not only the in-depth knowledge in all aspect of software development but also an understanding of end to end delivery in an enterprise. It’s this interest in enterprise delivery which has led me to my current role as Risk and Finance IT (RFIT) DevOps Architect leading a global multi-year DevOps transformation programme.
I’m proud to I have this year been promoted into a new role as DevOps Architect for RFIT which is giving me the opportunity to champion my passion for software development to the next level for the department and the firm. This is a big, impactful and ambitious role involving architecting and leading large scale DevOps transformations across RFIT. DevOps is one of the three pillars of the Chief Information Officer function’s Productivity strategy and leading this cultural change is giving me the opportunity to be part of the team changing Credit Suisse’s technology organisation.
