Women in Technology (WiT) is part of global Barclays community which aims to empower women of all levels and backgrounds to achieve their career aspirations in technology, offering our members networking, upskilling and collaboration opportunities.
We have ~15,000 women in technology committee members in major cities such as London, Glasgow, Radbroke, Gadbrook, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Northampton, Prague, Dublin, New York, Whippany, Pune, Noida, Chennai, Singapore and plan to extend into further sites in 2021.
Our Objectives:
1. Grow the presence and skills of women in the technology workforce
2. Inspire women both internally and externally to consider a career in Barclays Technology
3. Retain and promote our internal female technology talent
4. Provide mentoring/guidance and access to role models in Technology
5. Provide career coaching sessions and pathways for careers in STEM
6. Support local schools and communities by hosting interactive learning sessions focusing on programming fundamentals for students to encourage youngsters to consider a career in technology.
