I started out as a summer vacation placement student at Arthur Andersen and went into the Indirect Tax team as a graduate.
After a number of years I decided to qualify as a Coach and paid for this by working as a part time Office Manager at Pearson.
It was whilst working part-time that I was asked to ‘help out’ with one of the projects that related to online tests. Before I knew it, I had agreed to working full-time, had trained as a Prince 2 Project Manager and was running IT projects!
I was fascinated by technology – efficiency was at it’s heart and mine.
I then went back to Deloitte (previously Arthur Andersen) as a Senior Manager and I specialised in tax technology and led the sale and delivery of a wide variety of tax technology related consultancy projects for a number of years.
Following the Deloitte sale of it’s tax digital assets to Thomson Reuters, I led Product Management at Thomson Reuters for their Direct Tax products across EMEA. I was responsible for designing and delivering a transformation programme and I focus on being ‘the voice of the customer’.
I then returned to Deloitte and I am currently the Product Owner / Manager of a Global Deloitte Machine Learning proprietary tax solution and have also successfully lead Robotics Process Automation (RPA) transformation across tax.
