Charlotte Hutchinson

Charlotte is a Computer Science Graduate from the University of Kent, graduating with a 1st Class Honours in 2015. She started at IBM as a university placement student in 2013 and used her academic background to go straight into a Level 2 technical support role. Here Charlotte solved complex problems for customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa for the IBM Infosphere Data Architect and Data Studio. She handled problems escalated up from front line support and worked closely with the development team identifying code defects. She quickly became recognized in this field and then received referred problems from Asia and NA.

Charlotte re-join IBM in August 2015 as a new graduate hire and she immediately put herself forward as the European Lead SME for an API platform which enables you to quickly compose scalable APIs.

Charlotte operates as a Technical Consultant for IBM Cloud, specialising in the API Economy. Her skills have been tested in the last year as she has presented to numerous groups of Technical experts, run workshops for clients and provided overall specialist knowledge to clients in regards to architectural principals related to an API strategy. She has created a number of assets and product extensions which have been used to promote sales for the product and help customers with problems they face.

Charlotte has also presented and IBM biggest conference in Las Vegas to 150+ clients.

Outside of the day job Charlotte has had 6 articles published IBM Developer Works around APIs and assisted in creating 2 IBM certification exams. She also has 3 filed patents and 4 patents pending search and 2 prior Art disclosures published at IP.COM.
