Danielle Calabrese

Danielle Calabrese is a specialist in the field of data management, with over 15 years’ experience in both industry and consulting. She is now a member of Baringa’s Data, Analytics and AI team.

Danielle has built an incredible career around her passion for data, a passion which remains every bit as bright today as it did when she was buying motherboards and building her own computers as a kid, or being one of a few women to gain a degree in Information Management (IM) from her university and the first IM intern at the NJ State Office of IT, building data processes and lineage. She marries this passion with an incandescent spirit, a desire to connect with other people and build relationships. She is a total data nerd at heart, and has an incredibly rare talent for inspiring people to engage with data and get as excited as her about the topic.

She worked her first job in NY for a small legal recruitment firm and ended up managing their accounts and reconciling their data. Then she moved to Wiley Publishing to help build data quality monitoring over a global data warehouse, progressing her career to leading a data warehouse operational support team before moving into source system data governance. Moving over to the UK, she joined Hotels.com to identify where data governance could help manage their data more effectively. She’s been a key member of Deloitte UK’s data analytics practice, participating in Deloitte’s first year of their Women in Leadership Programme (100 nominated women), and she now leads Baringa’s offering in the field of data management.

Not content with delivering incredible outcomes for clients, she leads Baringa’s Women in Data network and launched/runs a mentoring programme for junior data specialists. She is a key member of Baringa’s gender diversity network, championing female representation in Tech and is also a founding member of “Data Governance Know-How”, a cross-industry networking group for professionals in the data industry working in London.
