Eleanor Clarke

Eleanor joined Rolls-Royce after finishing her DPhil in Materials Science at Oxford University where she investigated internal strains and dislocation densities in dual phase steels using X-ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction.

At Rolls-Royce she has developed a broad technical knowledge initially through the Marine Engineering Graduate training programme and then through various materials and manufacturing roles within Rolls-Royce including team leader roles. She is currently Manager of the Materials Engineering team at Rolls-Royce in Bristol which involves managing teams of Failure Investigators, Non-Destructive Evaluation engineers and Materials Applications engineers. She is passionate about supporting people to be at their best. Within work she is a Mental Health Champion, an active member of the wellbeing committee, STEM ambassador and former Leader of the Rolls-Royce Bristol Gender Diversity Network. Outside work she is a Guider.
