While studying for her BA in Accounting and Finance at the University of Plymouth, Elise undertook two internships with PwC, including the Women in Business placement. On graduating with a First, Elise joined PwC’s graduate programme based in Bristol. During that time she worked across both commercial and financial service clients, specialising in Banking & Capital Markets (B&CM) during her second year.

During her time in PwC’s B&CM practice she has worked with a variety of clients including building societies, payment companies, fintechs and some of the largest banks both in the UK and globally. Around this time PwC launched their intelligent digital hub training to all staff, which was a two day training programme showcasing Alteryx and Tableau. After seeing the power of technology to drive efficiencies in her work and deliver insights to her clients, Elise applied for PwC’s digital accelerator programme which trains staff to utilise technology and approach client problems from a different perspective.

The skills Elise learnt on the digital accelerator programme showed her the art of the possible in relation to servicing her clients and finding solutions to their business challenges by deploying the wide array of technology available. After completing the programme Elise studied independently for and passed both the Alteryx Core certification and Code First Girls Web Development course.
