Esther Akpovi

Esther Akpovi also known as The Gen Z Cheerleader is on a mission to re-invent the future of life for generation beta.

She is a British-Nigerian Gen Z & Tech thought leader. A Miss Nigeria Uk 2020 Finalist ( Contestant 6). Born in Lagos, From Delta State. She moved to the UK at age 8. She grew up in Nottingham. She is the Uk Delegate for G(irls) 20, Saudi Arabia 2020 on Education, Gender Equality and Future of Work . She is a VC Scout for Ada Ventures ( £50M Fund ). She is studying Law (LLB) with Legal innovation and technology at the University of Law in London. An award-winning Youth & Education Activist, Esther has earned recognition as a social activist featured on BBC, Evening Standard, Guap Magazine, Glam Africa, The Telegraph, Sahara Reporters and other leading publications. Esther is the Chair of Youth cabinet in Nottingham City Council advising the local government on how to target, create opportunities for and develop policies that impact the Gen-Z audience. She is an Advisory Board member to One Nottingham, Nottingham Together Board ( Covid-19 ) , Digital Growth Board, Migrant Leaders, Prospect 100 and The Youth Group on workforce diversity, Future of work, Gen Z, Education, Youth Engagement , Technological innovation & social entrepreneurship. Her passion for youth culture was obvious from a young age, at 17 she was the Chief Strategy Officer for a Gen Z Media company interviewing top musicians such as Santan Dave, Not3s, Young T & Bugsey before they rose to popularity. This led to Esther co-hosting a BBC radio show in Nottingham called ‘Upbeat’ a show focused on all things Gen Z, culture and youth.
