The Cyber Diversity Awards 2024

The University of Wolverhampton’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange, Professor Prashant Pillai, sits on the Steering Group for the Ethnic Minority in Cyber (EMiC) Network.

The pilot network partnership aims to significantly improve the representation of Global Majority cyber academia, professionals and businesses across the cyber sector.

To celebrate and highlight diversity in the cyber sector, EMiC has organised a Cyber Diversity Awards ceremony which is taking place at The Halls in Wolverhampton on Thursday 5 March 2024.

The event aims to raise awareness of the under-representation of Global Majority of people working in the sector as well as highlighting the importance of diversity in the industry, helping to inspire others to create a more inclusive and representative cyber community.

The awards ceremony has been sponsored by leading industry businesses including CGI IT UK, CompTIA, Cyber Q Group, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and Accenture UK.

The partnership is made up of the University of Wolverhampton and the Cyber Quarter – Midlands Centre for Cyber Security, Aston University, Sheffield Hallam University, Coventry University and the Cyber Management Alliance.
