Heather Williams

Heather is a young and driven process engineer working towards chartership. She has 5 years’ experience and has worked as a Process Engineer through all key phases of project design lifecycles. Heather has also spent time on site undertaking commissioning and qualification activities.

She has always seized every opportunity to further her development, taking up roles of responsibility within the workplace, taking part in industrial based challenges and sourcing industry experience. This led to her developing the IChemE’s young membership networks and founding the National Early Career Committee (formally National Young Member Committee) in 2017.

During her work at WSP, Heather has led the process design for new a piolet plant facility. Taking responsible for developing a basic process model, process description, process flow diagrams and intelligent P&ID. She undertook several site capacity analyses to confirm the current capacity of the facilities, and determine the changes required to meet the increasing demand. As a commissioning and qualification engineer, Heather developed and executed C&Q protocols to ensure the facility, utilities, and equipment perform as intended on completion of a project.
Her high level of competency a professionalism has led to client secondments and ever-increasing amounts of responsibility.
