Connectivity is shaping and driving the way communities, industries and nations are interacting, doing business and creating prosperity for all.

This is a talk based on personal stories of transformation, simple language (no extreme technical jargon) and personalised to the One Tech World audience.

About the speaker

Valentine ChepchirchirValentine Chepchirchir, Africa Internal Assurance Lead IT & Networks, Airtel Africa

I currently oversee IT & Network audits across 14 countries in Africa – where Airtel has operations. I specialise in reviewing IT, cybersecurity and telecom networks’ controls to identify gaps and ensure business addresses them. I hold a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and information engineering. I am also a certified ethical hacker and a certified information systems auditor. I am a ‘Young CISO award finalist-2022’, an award whose objective is to recognise young and extraordinary professionals across Africa making an impact in information security.

I love to paint, going on road trips, karaoke, a good book over some Kenyan masala tea and cozy indoor time with some Netflix binging. Farming is also one of my favourite pastimes, and spending some weekends with my many beloved feathered friends is an absolute delight.
