As a core member of the Global Assurance Talent team this is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to experience working in a truly Global team.This role offers the succesful applicant to work directly on the talent agenda for the largest service line Audit and two of the firms fastest growing sub service lines (FAAS and Forensics). Working closely with the Global Talent team together will develop and implement a global talent strategy which includes, and not limited to, recruitment & onboarding; workforce planning, talent development, employee listening and performance management.

Ideally this role would suit someone who has gained experience working in a regional talent team and is looking to broaden their experience.

The opportunity

The Global Assurance Talent Consultant will work on strategic HR initiatives for Global Assurance within EY. The role consults on assigned HR related programs and processes such as those supporting strategic transformation work. This role requires a solid understanding of HR operations and aligned functions as well as business and talent agendas within large scale organizations.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the development of key talent priorities on a Global basis
• Build close relationships / networks with Regional, Area and Global Assurance Talent teams as well as other functional stakeholders e.g., Global Talent team
• Successfully deliver assigned projects to agreed schedule and deadlines, budget, and scope, escalating delays and impediments to completion as necessary
• Provide reports and gather data as required. Share information, analysis and/or insights gathered with other team members
• Play an active role in the change management required for successful implementation of Global and Area Talent priorities
• Coordinate activities across the virtual team  

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have

• Previous experience in a Talent / Learning role or experience in Audit, Forensics or FAAS
• Broad understanding of our business, or other professional services environment
• Competent at handling multiple demands, flexible and ability to prioritize effectively
• Good analytical skills to analyze and provide insights from data, able to grasp complexities, and understand interrelationships between issues
• Good project management skills and knowledge of project management practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Possesses a ‘can do’ attitude, has strong personal drive and a solution driven approach
• Displays initiative, creative thinking and the ability to offer innovative ideas
• Ability to assert own ideas, and influence others, to gain support and commitment for shared accountabilities within projects
• Can work effectively and efficiently in a virtual team
• Sets high personal standards with consistent quality of delivery and exceptional client service
• Demonstrates high levels of integrity and confidentiality
• Strong spoken and written English and IT literate in word, excel, powerpoint and sharepoint.
• Has the ability and willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment and flex style as appropriate (sensitivity to cultural differences)
• Given the nature of the role flexible working is offered and encouraged. Occasional overseas travel is expected.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Bachelor degree
• Experience working in a professional services environment preferred
• Certificates or accreditation in development related tools will be a benefit
