The Role: LPG Ship Movements Commercial and Industry Analytical Expert
The Team: Within S&P Global Commodity Insights business a specialized expert team is keen on midstream data and global natural gas liquids (“NGL”) and liquified petroleum gas (“LPG”) markets. This team provides data and insights to our clients through subscription products and consulting/advisory services. The Vice President along with the team members are responsible and accountable for S&P Global Commodity Insights NGL markets portfolio of subscription products/services.
The Impact: As a key member of the Commodity Insights team your core responsibility will be continuous ship tracking from various data sources, creating daily data records for NGL products’ cargo movements, and maintaining, supporting, and delivering Waterborne LIVE (LPG and Ethane) Commodity Intelligence subscription work product and related deliverables. The subscription work product and deliverables include creating data records and providing analyses and trends in relation to waterborne LPG (propane and butane) and waterborne ethane movements and the markets. These deliverables provide necessary and required market data, analytics, and insights supporting the success of our clients.
These analyses and trends are determined from the responsibilities and tasks noted above and highlighted by reporting on monthly lifting volumes, product pricing, freight rates, and ethane, propane and butane trade and ship movement events and impacts from situations and events at the load and delivery ports and terminals. This subscription work product is closely integrated with and is part of a comprehensive NGL product portfolio. The individual will report to the Vice President of the group and the Vice President has overall responsibility for the NGL product portfolio.
In addition to the above the associate will be support other product deliverables in NGL product portfolio keen on waterborne LPG and ethane cargo movements and market analyses and forecasts. The associate will be an integral member of waterborne team ensuring all data and content is delivered at the highest quality and on-time (per the Waterborne LIVE LPG and Ethane product/service delivery schedule).

Over time the person will be considered as an expert in the NGL and LPG waterborne business providing data, insights, and advisory services to our clients.
The person will also gain experience from adjacent expert groups and teams covering petrochemical markets and maritime & trade activities and trends.
