Software Engineer Full Time
Are you passionate about working with cutting edge technology and supporting our customers with their mission? We are looking for Software Engineers that will work on projects involving innovation and development of new cutting edge products, mentoring and coaching other engineers (depending on grade) and supporting technical bid and project activities. Our systems support customers to defend against threats and so they must be able to rely on the quality of our products.
The role interfaces both with our wider development teams, and clients as required.
Essential skills and knowledge:
- C++ software development
- Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Team working
- At least 2 skills from the “Highly Desirable” section below
Highly desirable:
- Experience in software development, at a level consistent with 2+ years in a professional role
- Java
- Python
- Linux development experience
- Understanding of RF technologies
- Experience of using software-defined radios
- 3GPP cellular standards
- Knowledge of distributed version control systems (Git)
Desirable competencies and experience:
- Other scripting language experience
- Experience planning, estimating and designing system components
- Experience with defect tracking systems (JIRA preferred)
- Experience with automated build and continuous integration suites
- Customer facing skills

Our Government business unit houses four of our critical client groups: UK National Security, Global National Security, defence and central government. Government and key infrastructure networks are critical targets to defend as the effects of these networks being breached can be devastating.
