Location: New York or Remote US

At the moment, some of us are working remotely. However, we have an office in New York, and this position can be based in the office or hybrid remote. We will consider remote candidates within in the US (subject to your existing legal right to work in either jurisdiction). The person in this seat will need to work EST hours and the strong preference is that they sit in either the EST or CST time zones.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a VP of Finance to join our steadily growing organization! In this role, you manage our overall finance function and will be responsible for defining, synthesizing and reporting meaningful financial and operational data. We are looking for a forward thinking individual that will be able to provide insights to drive organizational decision-making and company performance. The person in this seat should have a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and financial models that enable the team to deliver actionable, value-added analysis across the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assess financial function to support and cultivate the growth of the company, minimize risk, and provide data & analytics to guide and support strategic decision making.
• Create and drive an efficient and comprehensive process that supports the company’s objectives.
• Provide management with specific observations and strategic ideas around areas for continuous improvement. Continue to deliver financial information on a basis consistent with current practices and timeframes.
• Oversee the finance function to ensure things are operating efficiently. Hold weekly meetings with the Controller to review all investor enquiries and monthly financial reports, prior to internal and external distribution.
• Monitor the company’s annual budget and monthly forecasts and ensure all budgets are accurate, comprehensive and completed on time .
• Actively manage and forecast the company’s cash position including appropriate management reporting and escalation
• Manage the relationship with external auditors. Prepare, support and oversee the annual audit, to ensure successful completion in compliance with relevant shareholder agreements and associated deadlines.
• Provide support to external resources around capital raising by explaining the financial dynamics of the company, translating those dynamics into models and/or presentation materials, and assisting the due diligence process.

We’re looking for colleagues with:

• 10+ years of progressive FP&A and/ or CFO level experience, operating within the US
• SaaS, Financial Services or Fintech experience is a huge plus but not required
• Willingness and desire to roll up your sleeves and be hands on with daily execution
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a high level of comfort presenting ideas to senior leadership and board members
• Strong financial modeling skills is a must
• Minimum of a BA in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required
