Jolanta Peplinska

Jola graduated from University College London with a MSc. in Astrophysics and a distinction for completing the year in the top 5% of students.

Since joining Goldman Sachs as a graduate she has held a number of roles including Software Engineer and Product Manager and was promoted to Vice President in 2020.

Jola did not expect to end up in a technical role, however thanks to lucky coincidence has found a place for herself in the unexpected and is very grateful for it.

Jola has developed as a full stack engineer for 5 years and worked with a number of technologies, to continue her career to lead a team of 4 in the successful design and delivery of our innovative “Commentary” product with a particular specialism in user interface development where she has distinguished herself as our global subject matter expert. The product has seen rapid adoption across multiple divisions of the firm, and has allowed efficiency and control benefits to be realized, alongside new features such as data visualization, in workflow which was previously manual and inefficient.

Most recently, Jola has assumed global responsibility for our newly formed Product Management team where she has driven the adoption of product management principles and practices across our global team. She leads a team of experienced product managers and balances this with an ongoing technical leadership responsibility for the Commentary product.

Jola is an active member of the EMEA Women in Engineering Analyst & Associate Mentoring Circles program where she helps support and develop the next generation of female engineers within the firm. Jola is an engaging presenter and led a session at the Women in Tech Conference in 2020 providing female engineers with concrete examples of how they could improve their software development process.
