Kara Anderson

I am a consultant within Baringa’s Data, Analytics and AI (DAA) practice. I specialise in helping clients generate value from their data by developing and executing on data strategy and analytics projects.

I graduated with a first class honours in Geography from Kings College London, and quickly developed a thirst for analytics in my professional life. I have worked with organisations across multiple sectors (construction, hi-tech manufacturing, oil and gas, government) helping those organisations clarify the role that data will play in achieving their most important objectives. I have a strong talent for building client relationships and making the topic of data simple and accessible.

I play a major role in the development of the DAA practice within Baringa, driving key initiatives across our people agenda, supporting our Women in Data program and leading the charge on pastoral and social events.

Alongside work, I act as the Digital Trustee for the Food Poverty Charity, FEAST. I work with the board to manage strategic direction and am responsible for advising on digital and data operations. This year I have provided advice to define our 2020 strategy, reshape our approach to performance management, and migrate to a new reporting platform. Since the Covid 19 outbreak, I have played a key role in optimising data collection, data storage & analytics delivery to enable the shift to a new delivery-based business model. FEAST have since expanded operations by over 800% and we have continued to feed vulnerable adults during these challenging times.
