Last year 40 companies, 475 in-person delegates, and 1,300 virtual participants gathered in London to hear from incredible speakers and discuss our “Barriers for Women in Tech” research. WeAreTechWomen hosted three auditoriums offering thought leadership around the barriers faced by women in tech, the need for role models, male allies, sponsorship and alternative career paths. This year we are back, and this year we want to take those conversations a little further.

Over 350 mid-level women in tech and male allies will attend the 2023 Level Up Hybrid Summit to discuss key topics to progress the careers of women in tech, we are also expecting thousands to join us online from all over the globe.

#LevelUp23 Summit has four areas of focus. Firstly, understanding the impact of intersectionality, the way in which different elements of our identity overlap and interact, and how aspects of a person’s identity combine to create different and multiple differences and areas of privilege, understanding intersectionality allows us to create cultures of growth and space for progression. We are also exploring how we eliminate bias in our processes, people and systems, and how we can use data to highlight areas for improvement. We will deep dive into the importance of allyship, privilege and how to maximise sponsorship for all.

As part of our agenda, we will be providing keynotes, panels, personal stories and ample opportunities for the audience to engage via our slido polls and Q&A’s. Delegates will have the opportunity to network and engage with our sponsors, volunteering organisations as well as our on-site coaches. Our events are all about the relationships we create through networking, this year we will be using our Blendology smart badges once again, which enabled over 8,000 connections being made last year. We also have two breakout rooms with additional content sessions provided by Barclays and EY.

How can you get involved?

We are seeking forward thinking companies and individuals who want to join our conversations at Level Up. We want to engage with leaders who really care and want to make a difference to the future world of tech – a world where ALL WOMEN have the opportunity to thrive! Company tables are for 10 attendees who are at a mid to senior level in tech, and who are passionate about driving change. At least 30% of table attendees must be male leaders. Attendees could include Diversity and Inclusion Leaders, HR Business Partners, Heads of Women in Tech networks or tech change makers.

Throughout the day our delegates will have the opportunity to learn from our incredible line up of speakers, discuss plans of action with their own teams and develop tangible actions to support their own women in tech.
