I joined Lloyds Banking Group 7 years ago, and never expected to end up in tech!

My journey began in business analysis and project governance, where I learned VBA in my own time to try and automate some of the repetitive, manual reporting processes. I was instantly inspired and captivated by the power of automation, and knew getting into a technical role had to be my next move.

Since then, I’ve been working as part of the Intelligent Automation team at LBG, creating innovative solutions designed to make day-to-day banking easier for our customers. My current role as a Cognitive Engineer involves designing and implementing conversational flows and new cognitive features for our chatbots, enabling digital journeys for over 12 million users. Prior to this, I worked in Robotic Process Automation, delivering enterprise-wide automation at scale, and also in Intelligent Character Recognition, leading the creation of a brand new capability for the bank.
