Lubov Mikulaninecova

I am originally from Ukraine but moved to Slovakia where I studied International Relations and Diplomacy.

While studying at the university at that time I was considering a career in diplomacy and have done quite a few internships such as with United Nations Development Programmes, spent a whole year as an intern within the Slovak Parliament, I have been on an internship with the Slovakia Ministry of Foreign Affairs leading to a secondment to the Embassy of Slovakia in Moscow. Eventually I have decided to move into the private sector and more specifically consulting. I started my career as a graduate in the traditional tax practice at EY Slovakia and after 3 years have been offered with an opportunity to move to London to join at that time a new sub-service line or team called Tax Performance Advisory, these days it is called Tax Technology and Transformation. Over these years I have been working across geographies and industries delivering tax technology and transformation projects for our clients that involved lots of learning from my side, sleepless nights, running extra mile and of course constant travelling across the world. Inbetween I have decided to move to PwC where I stayed for less than 2 years operating in the same space however I have decided and have been convinced as well to move back to EY that was close to my heart since I joined as a graduate back in 2008 in Bratislava. I have been working with various software vendors delivering implementations of their products to our clients and established a valuable and impressive network internally and externally that I am proud of as tax technology is still a small world but world full of potential and great people to work and collaborate with.
