I am a Data Platform Engineer working at Funding Circle for almost 3 years. I graduated from the Military Institute of Engineering in Brazil in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. During graduation I got into an exchange program at MIT for the Fall Term of 2014.

I worked as a software engineer for the Brazilian Army where I developed a document management, communication and signing system used internally by all military staff to speed communications and reduce bureaucracy. My contributions involved restructuring the frontend of the system to improve user experience and implementing advanced features in the backend.

I moved to the UK in 2019 and took some time off work. During that time I started studying different technologies like React and Go where I learned by writing my own app for searching for cheaper flights based on the period of stay for the next three months. I had just moved to Europe and I wanted to explore more of it but spending less.

In 2020 I started at Funding Circle as a Data Platform Engineer. Funding Circle plays an important role in lending money to small businesses in the UK. I have worked on many projects to provide a secure, reliable and fast data platform for stakeholders to leverage data to drive fast decisions and business outcomes.
