Mathangi joined the IT Graduate program at Credit Suisse in 2002 as a Java Developer. She holds an undergraduate degree (BSc) in Computer Science and a postgraduate (MSc) in Enterprise Information Systems from King’s College London. She has always had a strong interest in technology stemming from when she was at school – where she ran The Computer Club during lunch time. Mathangi’s part-time job whilst studying for her A-Levels was working in the computer area in a department store. Whilst at University she was sponsored by Thales (formerly known as Racal) – where she did her summer placements with them coding and creating their Fleet Management software application.

Mathangi joined the Equities Capital Markets team at Credit Suisse as a developer and tester. She then progressed to take on a Server Systems Operations role where she supported the 2300 Windows Servers. Having an interest in technology delivery, she took on complex technical Lean Six Sigma Project delivery and IT Program/Portfolio Management roles. Mathangi has shown true potential when she stepped up both metaphorically and organizationally during a time of organizational transformation and created a Technology Service Management strategy that remains key to the success of the central technology group. Mathangi always looks for challenges and loves working with technology.

She is now Head of Audit, Risk & Controls in the Technology Security Services area and is continuing to display her high energy and positive style. She enjoys working on effectively leveraging technology to improve security. Mathangi manages the controls within IT Security – providing a framework that addresses all control commitments (audit, regulatory, IT policies, IT SOX, etc.) in Cyber Security, Identity and Access Management, Data Protection and Network Security. Mathangi also has a very solid technical understanding and this strength is certainly bringing an interesting dynamic to the role where she is able to challenge the organization in a different way to the standard role of an IT audit and risk control manager.
