Megan Dawes

Megan is a Security Consultant at Capgemini. She has worked across several security domains within industries ranging from Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) to International Logistics.

Megan started her career at Capgemini on a temporary contract as a Resourcing Assistant, she was quickly promoted to Resource Manager, a role in which she worked with Cyber Security professionals and developed a passion for Cyber Security. She was retained through recruitment to Capgemini’s Graduate Scheme. As Resource Manager, Megan was managing over 100 Cyber Security professionals servicing 60 clients UK-wide. Seeing first-hand the challenges that clients were facing in a technological world and the vital role that Cyber Security played to help overcome and protect them inspired Megan and made her realise this was the career path she wanted to pursue.

Having gained the necessary security professional certifications, she became the Junior Risk Assessor on an international logistics account and within a matter of months, she was also independently managing the Supplier Assurance Process. Shortly after, she was promoted to Senior Risk Manager and became responsible for the implementation of the Risk Management Framework. She was then selected to join a high-profile Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme for a CNI account where she saw it take shape from inception, leading client workshops, gathering requirements and improving business processes to presenting the IAM proof of concept (PoC) back to the client stakeholders. She is currently working as a Delivery Consultant for a retail company managing multiple business-critical IT projects across the HR and Finance functions.

Alongside this, she has championed several initiatives such as the setting up Capgemini’s Cyber Security Graduate and Apprenticeship Community, managing the Cyber Security Work Experience Programme for the last 3 years and regularly making influential contributions to Capgemini’s wider Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) initiatives.

She has won several internal performance awards for her delivery excellence and other CR&S initiatives; including Capgemini’s Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Award.
