Penny is the Head of EMEA Asset Servicing Technology Development & Corporate Services at BNY Mellon.

Her team manage and develop vendor applications and in house developed software that supports multiple business lines across BNYMellon globally. The team covers multiple disciplined delivery methodologies, including Agile Scrum, Waterfall and Iterative, developing on a wide variety of older and new technologies including Angular & Java using the BNYMellon NEXEN ecosystem.

Prior to this, Penny was the Head of EMEA AST Digitisation. Her team delivered new and enhanced services for internal and external clients. Including delivery of widgets and APIs that can build dashboard capabilities, leveraging BNYMellon’s NEXEN ecosystem including big data analytics.

Previous to this, Penny was responsible for the delivery of strategic initiatives and technical non-discretionary projects for EMEA Transfer Agency, utilising the BNYMellon’s internal cloud capability.

Penny joined the company in 2001 as a Technical Analyst supporting and developing changes on distributed applications including hands on experience of managing and changing Oracle and SQL Server databases. She has worked on large scale development projects, including image and workflow and wealth dealing platforms. Also responsible for large development teams delivering change across a number of core distributed applications and has held vendor management responsibilities.

Penny’s core background before this was in infrastructure & core technology services such as supporting email, telephone systems and networks along with desktop and server support in the pharmaceuticals and telecommunications industries.

Penny is co-chair EMEA Women in Technology group at BNY Mellon and drives events focussed on demonstrating the breadth of career opportunities within technology to school children in the community. She is a certified professional scrum master and is also certified in cloud and web technologies.
