Dr Allison Gardner | Lecturer, Keele University & CEO, AI Aware Ltd

Dr Allison GardnerAllison is a lecturer in computer science at Keele University where she is the Programme Director for the Data Science Degree Apprenticeship. She is co-founder of Women Leading in AI and CEO of AI Aware Ltd. Her research interests primarily lie within health technology, AI ethics and governance and diversity in tech. She is principal investigator for the Ethical Funding for Trustworthy AI project and a project partner of FAIR-AIEd. Allison sits on a number of AI standards including IEEE P7003 Considerations of Algorithmic Bias and is a committee member on BSI/AAMI 34971 AI as a Medical Device and BSI/ISO ART/001 Artificial Intelligence. She is a TEDx speaker and noted conference keynote on AI Ethics and Diversity in Tech. She has consulted with several organisations including Centre for Data Ethics, Chatham House and the UN. Allison also offers consultancy services via her company AI Aware in training and compliance for Trustworthy AI.
