Ilker Yaman | Head of Group Technology Service Management, Barclays
Ilker joined Barclays in May 2019 and heads the Group Technology Service Management function (GTSM).
GTSM consists of c.500 colleagues, predominantly based in global strategic locations in the UK (Radbroke), US (Whippany) and India (Pune), with a strong presence also in our key business and trading locations in London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
GTSM provides a comprehensive service supporting the entire Barclays Production Technology Ecosystem, across applications and infrastructure for Barclays businesses, customers, colleagues and stakeholders. It is a critical function in the banks efforts to become an ‘always on’ bank through maturing the Service Management and Resilience capabilities, with a huge focus on improving colleague and customer experiences when using Barclays technology.
Previously, Ilker was at Citi Bank for almost 9 years, primarily within the Institutional Clients Group technology division, initially building the Service Management function and then expanding his remit to head up a number of functions in Citi’s Technology Infrastructure group (CTI), including the Head of ICG Service Delivery, leading their EMEA region and managing the bank wide global command center function.
Prior to Citi, Ilker held service management leadership roles at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital, having started his career in Service Management originally within Enron Europe.
He is passionate about developing people, particularly focused on D&I and Early Careers. He has been the EMEA Women In Tech sponsor for Barclays Technology for the last 2 years and recently has taken on Sponsorship of the Global Technology Early Careers strategy.
His career has predominantly been based in London but now spends most of his time in our Radbroke Campus in Cheshire.
