Jamuna Ravi is currently the Global Portfolio and Practices Management Lead for HSBC Technology reporting into the Technology COO in HSBC.
Jamuna Ravi is a computer science engineer graduate of BITS, Pilani with over 30 years experience in the IT industry. Key experiences include :
- Upstream Business Delivery Lead in the Shell IT Hub of Bangalore, with responsibility for delivery of all Business functionality systems
- Entrepreneurship of over 3 years as the Founder and Managing Director of an IT solutions company called Pinovus Consulting
- Management Council Representative and a Tier-1 leader in Infosys (amongst the top 50 leaders)
- Head of Global Business Information Technology Services for the Energy, Utilities, Communications and Services vertical in Infosys , managing 13000+ people globally
- Geo-head role for Banking and Capital Markets, Europe for 2 years based out of Amsterdam,Netherlands, responsible for customer acquisition, engagement and delivery.
- Youngest and first Woman Delivery Centre Head in TCS for Gurgaon.
- Manpower Allocation Taskforce head in TCS, Delhi covering 2000+ employees
She has also been a strong champion of Inclusion and diversity in the IT industry and is currently the Inclusion and Diversity sponsor for HSBC Technology India which has a workforce of 18000+ of which over 30% are women. She has been a role model for women in technology and has been very active in promoting Inclusion and Diversity , especially of gender as follows :
- She has been the Womens Network Sponsor in the Shell IT hub in India and instrumental in getting Shell recognized as a top employer for women in different forums
- Jamuna has participated in several conferences organized by Nasscom, Infosys, etc to promote Women’s Career development initiatives and has been a role model and mentor to several young women in the companies she has worked in.
- Having been an early mover in Information Technology, she is passionate about motivating women to take up careers in Information Technology and to help them grow holistically in their organisations while maintaining their work-life balance.
She has also been able to participate in social initiatives in parallel to her busy career because of her desire to give back to society, especially for women development. She has been a member of Soroptimist International in Bangalore and is currently in her second term as the Communications officer at the National Association of Soroptimists in India. Soroptimist International is a global 100 year old organization, represented in the UN , and having 75000+ women members globally.
