Kweilin Ellingrud | Director of the McKinsey Global Institute

Kweilin EllingrudKweilin is a Director of the McKinsey Global Institute where she leads research across topics such as gender and racial equity, the future of work post-COVID-19, and growth and innovation. She instigated the Power of Parity research on gender equality globally and the economic opportunity of greater female workforce participation. She is a Senior Partner at McKinsey who also leads transformation work with clients in financial services and beyond.

Kweilin has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Harvard University. She worked at the Center for Women & Enterprise, a nonprofit to help women entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. Kweilin lives in Minneapolis with her husband and three daughters: a 9 year old and 6 year old twins.
