Marcia Morgan | Head, US Technology and Global Technology Production & Risk Services, RBC
Marcia Morgan is Head, US Technology and Global Technology Production and Risk Services for RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) located in Minneapolis, MN, USA. In this role, Marcia is responsible for strategic direction, oversight and implementation of support service teams across applications, infrastructure, database, desktop, and IT risk.
Marcia has 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry in project and technology leadership roles including leading multi-discipline, global tech teams for start-ups to Fortune 100 organizations. Before joining RBC GAM in 2016, Marcia was Chief Technology Officer for a global alternative investment advisor, managing all of the company’s global technology needs. Prior to that, Marcia was vice president of technology for an American asset management company, and the head of technology for the institutional investment subsidiary of a large U.S. bank holding company. She also founded an online investment platform which was acquired by a U.S. Internet stockbroker.
As a leader of RBC GAM global support teams, Marcia focuses on talent identification, recruiting, inclusion and retention. She does this through participation in ERGs, leading T&O women’s huddles, as a member of the GAM-US Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, and partnering with HR, Recruiting, Compensation and Diversity teams. Marcia also participates as a formal mentor through multiple mentoring programs, including programs targeting high school STEM females. Marcia stays current and connected through many local and national peer groups, specifically for women in technology.
Marcia holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. Cloud State University. She lives with her family in Minneapolis where she enjoys being a hockey mom, golfing, doing yoga, and judging high school gymnastics.
