Nelly Kiboi | Software Engineer, American Express
Nelly Kiboi is a software engineer who is passionate about the intersection of emerging technologies and how we can use them to improve equality and accessibility. She moved to the UK in 2016 to join American Express’ new graduate programme and currently works there as a software engineer. She has championed accessibility initiatives, created and led coding classes, and contributed to the curriculum for Code Girls, educating young women about careers in tech. Her professional focus is now on Amex’s One App open source platform (https://github.com/americanexpress/one-app), in collaboration with other engineers both within the company and across the wider technical community. She strives to be a visible role model for women in technology and become an innovator in her field. Nelly is the winner of the 2021 everywoman in Technology Software Engineer Award.
