Preeti Shingadia, Senior Vice President; Global Distributed Server Security Patching and Currency, Bank of America

Preeti ShingadiaPreeti Shingadia leads the Global Distributed Server Security Patching and Currency function responsible for routinely updating and securing the infrastructure across the bank’s ~190,000 midrange server environments.

Preeti has been with the bank for 17 years. She joined as a Unix Systems Administrator with Merrill Lynch and later progressed to lead the Unix Server Operations team. Preeti moved to Singapore in 2008 before Bank Of America’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch. In Singapore, Preeti was involved in moving/consolidating Bank of America’s offshore functions into Singapore after the acquisition and before taking a role to lead the Midrange Server Windows, Unix and Mainframe operations teams for the ASIA Region.

Preeti moved back to the UK in 2010 to lead the EMEA Unix Server Operations team, progressing to Managing EMEA Distributed Compute Services and Systems currency at the beginning of 2017 (including a couple of career breaks to start/extend the family).

In 2020, Preeti took on a Global role to stand up and build a team to manage the Server Security compliance drift management function before being offered the Midrange Server Security Patching and Currency role leading a team of ~130 people across APAC, EMEA and AMRS.

Preeti grew up in the Midlands, UK and obtained a BSc (Hon) in Computer Science. Now living in Kent and has two Sons Kieran (11) and Joshua (9). Seeing her children’s development has inspired Preeti to work more with the younger generations, she now leads mentorship and coaching sessions to help teenagers to adapt to life in the workplace.
