Rana Kamill | IoT Ecosystems Architecture Solutions Specialist | British Telecommunications plc

 

Rana is an IoT Ecosystem Architecture Solution Manager at BT. She is the vice chair of Working Party 1 in the international Telecommunications Union Union Standardisation Sector ITU-T SG 20 (IoT and Smart cities and communities (SC&C). Before moving to the Architecture and Technology strategy area, Rana spent several years working Security consultant providing consultancy across BT’S all Customer Facing Units. Prior to that, she worked in Academia teaching and researching Mobile Networks after studying a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications engineering and post graduate studies in Mobile and Wireless Networks.

Rana currently owns BT’s IoT’s roadmap and works on setting the direction for BT strategy for IoT. Rana represents BT in various standards body like ETSI, oneM2M, 3GPP and the ITU-T. Rana has over a decade of experience in Research and Academia and the Telecommunications industry and a strong passion for IoT, Cyber Security and developing technical standards.
