Open to women and non-binary people living in the North and North East of England, the new TechUPWomen programme is designed for those with no prior tech experience who would like to retrain into a tech career.

What to expect from TechUPWomen 2023:

  • 12 week online programme
  • Starts on 22nd April
  • Training in basic IT and IT support skills
  • Taster sessions in a range of advanced tech careers such as software development, data and user experience
  • Training in workplace readiness skills such as team working and communication skills, delivered by our new partner Catch22
  • In-person events
  • TechUP’s unique blend of pastoral, peer and mentor support
  • Flexible delivery to ensure you can learn around pre-existing commitments

The programme will include weekly live tutor-led online lectures and workshops, and independent online learning and assignments totalling an average of 7 hours per week study time, plus two intensive in-person weekend events, networking, a careers fair, one to one mentoring and confidence building sessions.

All learners will also receive job search support from a Catch22 career coach to find the right role for them upon graduation, plus up to six months in-work support.

This flexible programme is designed to enable those who are keen to develop and improve their technology skills in order to move into a tech or digital career via a level 3 or 4 Apprenticeship.
