Starting my career as a Trade Support analyst for the Cash Equities business was my first exposure to how powerful technology can be, especially within the Finance Sector. My role developed over time to become the single point of contact for the Equities Algo Trading desk, a business highly reliant on advanced technologies. This fed a natural interest into how the electronic platform was delivered, which became the force behind my mobility into a Business Analyst role within the Global Markets Technology division.
In the years since joining Technology, I have established a track record for leading and coordinating large scale technology projects across multiple divisions. I have led high profile IT projects for regulatory initiatives such as MIFID II Research Commission Unbundling through to bank wide initiatives such as the recent migration of a Credit Suisse Branch electronic business flow to a local broker.
Appreciating complexity is a huge component to any role in Technology. With my background, I can visualize front to back changes, while constantly assessing the impact to business trading flows.
Currently, I am the lead Business Analyst on select Brexit work streams, and the owner of the European Cash Equities High Touch book of work.
I thrive on empowering other junior women and am extremely supportive of bank wide initiatives promoting women in technology. I was asked to represent Equities Technology in the Modern Muse program, which provides young women with inspirational role models in professional organizations.
Recently I ran a session for junior women within Electronic Trading Technology to meet with a senior female member of the Credit Suisse board, who has been in the Banking industry for over forty years.
Technology continues to provide me with a platform to combine my business knowledge with my drive to problem solve and implement strategic change.
