Sahydi Garcia

Sahydi Garcia is a Vice President of Morgan Stanley in Enterprise Technology and Services based in London.

Sahydi joined the Firm in 2004 as an Associate in Reengineering and Expense Management based in New York, serving in a number of roles within Corporate Services. Prior to that, Sahydi started her career at Avaya in Basking Ridge, NJ from 2000 until 2004 as an Associate Client Executive in IBM Global Alliances. While she has been with the Firm for nearly 15 years, Sahydi briefly worked for risk management software company, Digital Sandbox in Washington, DC from 2009 to 2010 as a Sales Associate. She returned to the Firm in 2011 to End User Technology as an IT Service Delivery Manager and eventually transitioned to a role in project management/business analysis. She was named Vice President in January 2016 and later that year Sahydi accepted a mobility opportunity to Glasgow, where she became a founding member of the Morgan Stanley Women in Technology group. There, she led the Recruitment, Retention & Progression working group. Sahydi is passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive working environment, seeking to recruit and retain more women into Technology. In addition to her job duties, Sahydi mentors others through various programs including the Mobility Advisor Program, Morgan Stanley Mentoring Program, and Career Ready Program. She challenges colleagues and mentees to take an active role and participate in programs to accelerate their careers and drive personal and professional growth.

Sahydi and her family emigrated from their native country of Cuba in 1980 to the United States through the Mariel Boatlift. Raised in New Jersey, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Rutgers University. Most recently, Sahydi has relocated to London. She currently resides in Greenwich and is happily unmarried and childless.
