Sandy Simcox is changing the way enterprise organisations use technology.
Despite not having a background in technology, having completed a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Warwick, her customer-centric approach to product management and marketing has resulted in her being promoted into her current role as Head of Cloud Portfolio at Claranet.
Sandy combines her interests in cloud advancements, data science and enterprise transformations across people, process and technology with her passion for diversity and inclusion, sustainability and human-centred design to create an innovative portfolio of cloud solutions for her customers.
She has driven improvements in diversity and inclusion throughout her career, as a lead within BT’s Gender Equality Network and a founding member of Claranet’s first D&I focused employee group. Sandy is a STEM Ambassador and Girls’ Network mentor, focusing on supporting schools with low higher education rates in less affluent communities, and a public speaker encouraging women and minorities to consider a career in technology.
