Shannon plays a key role in the technology projects portfolio for Shared Services Connected Limited (SSCL), working to deliver savings by implementing technology enhancements across the UK public sector.

Shannon’s expertise contributes to this strategy where she currently leads the technology projects portfolio as part of a £100m transformation programme, combining her technology consulting and project management skills to deliver real change in the technology space.

Starting her career with SSCL’s parent company Sopra Steria’s graduate scheme, over the past three years she has excelled in various roles throughout the company in technology consulting, business development and project management. Shannon’s work ethic and achievement was recognised early on during the graduate scheme when she was awarded Rising Star of the graduate scheme.

As a Project Manager she balances several projects within technology transformation, including implementation of a Digital Assistant and a business reporting solution.

A passionate advocate of diversity and inclusion, Shannon joined the Women’s Inclusive Network (WIN) committee across Sopra Steria and its Joint Ventures, SSCL and NHS SBS to play an active role to support women across the wider business. She leads a workstream, organises events and forms strategic partnerships playing a leading role in supporting and developing women’s careers in SSCL.

Her belief in the importance of supporting women in technology goes beyond the business and outside of work Shannon is an advocate for Women in STEM, regularly presenting at colleges and universities through the Association of Project Management (APM) Education Outreach programme, to help support and encourage students, particularly women, into technology-based careers.
