I am a tech recruiter with 15 years of experience. I set up my own successful recruitment company in 2008 and ran it for 8 years. I have since worked as an internal recruiter for some of the biggest corporations, JP Morgan Chase, Barclays and Accenture. I recently appeared on The Apprentice championing diverse women in business. I have been invited to give a TEDx Talk in November on why neuro diversity is my superpower.

Require all teachers have termly training about signs of NeurodiversityAround 1 in 5 are neurodivergent. It’s crucial to make neurodiversity training compulsory for teachers. This training should cover not only the more obvious signs of neurodiversity, but also the more subtle/internalised signs, particularly in girls who are three times less likely to be diagnosed. To prevent neurodivergent children facing significant challenges and struggles in their academic and social lives that can lead to severe mental health conditions, such as depression and eating disorders, and misdiagnosis which can cause further problems and negative coping mechanisms, such as drug addiction and crime. It’s important to recognize that neurodiversity is a natural variation in human behaviour and should be celebrated, not stigmatised.
