Sinead Byrne

Sinead Byrne is a Project Manager/ Scrum Master for the EMEA Technology Digitisation team at BNY Mellon.

Within this role Sinead leads two agile teams with geographically distributed developers in the development and delivery of new revenue generating widgets. Sinead drives a culture of innovation, risk management and continuous improvement by transforming our fund accounting offering to a more digital model.

Sinead has worked at BNY Mellon for 14 years and within this time has had a varied career. She initially joined BNY Mellon as a HR Consultant and was integral in establishing the companies EMEA Internship programme. Moving out of HR in order to assume a role within the companies first Global Innovation team she project managed events across EMEA to raise awareness of Innovation and evoke a culture change to a more innately innovative company before joining Technology and becoming involved in strategic planning, event delivery and reporting and governance. For the last 2 years Sinead has been working as a Scrum Master within the EMEA Digitisation team.

Sinead is the Chair of the London Women in Technology (WIT) group at BNY Mellon, leading events and initiatives to drive the conversation on the technology gender gap and raise awareness of the need for diversity within Technology.

Sinead has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Westminster and a Master’s in Business Administration, MBA, from The Open University.
