Clare has always been interested in technology. From a young age, she was fascinated with computers and whenever any technology at home broke, she would be the one determined to find out more and fix it. Despite studying IT at GCSE level, she eventually decided to go down a different route and read Psychology at university. Throughout university Clare worked in Student Recruitment, in particular for EY and a SME called Champions Life Academy. In both roles, she championed the use of new technologies to increase efficiencies, for example the introduction of communication tools and the use of social media, gamification and event apps to attract students to EY events.

Following university, Clare decided to start her career in HR consulting, working for Capgemini. Clare used her past technology experience to work on client site implementing new HR technology solutions specifically focusing on SAP, Successfactors. During this time, she really enjoyed integrating Saville psychometric testing systems with the Successfactors recruitment module, developing her system knowledge and skills, writing system integration documents. Clare also took part in user acceptance testing and other elements of the technology change process.

Clare joined the EY Student Recruitment team in early 2016, as she wanted a more face to face role, with the opportunity to present and work with more senior stakeholders. Since then, she has continued express a keen interest in technology and systems, championing STEM roles at EY and new technology implementations within the team for example, the use of iPad's, a new data collection system and new recruitment process, alongside a new applicant tracking system. Clare manages the STEM recruitment strategy for EY’s attraction across schools and campuses throughout the UK, focusing specifically on increasing the number of females working in technology roles.
