Your role 

As the Cloud Application Adviser you will advise and empower application teams with knowledge and experience to accelerate standards-based cloud adoption across the Invesco application development org.

  • Experience running design workshops
    Proven experience with design systems, grid frameworks, delivering to and creating style guides and other responsive design experience

  • Recognised Degree or similar experience (essential) and Masters (desirable)
  • Proficient with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe CS, InVision, Zeplin, Marvel

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop tax technology plans with goals, build and deployment strategies and performance measurements for our clients
  • Assist with creating and developing high-impact tools and materials to support the varied client work and assignments across TTT such as thought leadership, diagnostics, internal user guides and blueprints
  • Support a variety of client projects, from working on tax operating model design to deploying the latest AI tools for client tax processes.
  • Think commercially focusing on understanding client issues and pain points and assisting in developing cost effective solutions across process, people, data and technology
  • Review and record clients’ processes, systems & pain points with a focus on spotting blockers, analysing root causes & advising on/ implementing solutions
  • Manipulate and analyse client data using technology and designing insightful dashboards to present insights in an easy-to-understand and client friendly manner
  • Use and develop technology skills (e.g. coding, MS Power Platform, Alteryx, etc.) to help maintain and improve automation tools developed by the team

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Tax Data Management – improving the quality of data received by the tax function, and implementing software tools to make the processing and reporting of tax data more efficient
  • Provisioning and tax reporting solutions – implementing software solutions along with process and controls re-design that support the automating of effective global tax provisioning and reporting processes.
  • Insourcing/Outsourcing – developing models for all or portions of the tax compliance and reporting needs of a company
  • Workflow & information management – setting up processes and technology tools to provide greater control over global tax deadlines and risks in a more efficient manner
  • Tax Function Diagnostic and Benchmarking – assessing the tax function against leading practices to identify and prioritise areas of improvement.

The work requires you to work closely with our clients’ businesses so you’ll proactively maintain your technical knowledge by keeping abreast of finance or tax performance improvements methodologies having an understanding of ERP software (SAP, Oracle). Specific experiences which are not mandatory; however would benefit applicants include:

  • 5+ years of commercial development experience, focussed on Java development (preferably web-based applications)

Your role

As a Senior Data Solutions Engineer, Investment Technology, you will be working on a squad that builds global trading applications and global trading data platforms. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Head of Development who will assume responsibility for our development team, overseeing projects of variable scale and scope. The Head of Development at Six will be self-motivated as well as pro-active, ambitious to grow the role and confident in leading the conversation with Clients when it comes to software development and technology.

You’ll have experience in building complex consumer facing digital products and internal facing website and online applications, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment both as an individual contributor and a technical lead. You have preferably served in a senior leadership position, responsible for building and leading high performing development teams.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Core responsibilities include:

  • Quality in-house development: Overseeing all in-house development, including process, tooling, workflow and documentation. Setting the bar on coding standards and testing process to maintain quality of digital build work. Strive to reduce technical debt wherever possible.
  • Planning and specification: Working closely with management and UX teams to produce technical specifications for new digital products and services. Driving conversations with client IT teams to devise integration, testing and deployment strategies.
  • Leadership: Developing skills and expertise within the development team in order to achieve their personal growth goals and business objectives.
  • New business: Forging relationships with partners outside of the business to branch into new technology and digital opportunities.
  • Making strategic decisions on which technologies to use and invest in.
  • Maintaining security processes and protocol, such as developer on/off boarding, data and password policy, deployment workflow and disaster recovery plans. Overarching responsibility for flagging risks and any security updates.
  • Managing and advising on IT infrastructure such as hosting and domains
  • Helping developers upskill and achieve their own goals via personal growth plans and training
  • Leading by example, getting hands-on with coding and code reviews

Therefore, the position requires that the individual is mission-focused, strategic, collaborative, self-motivated, adaptable, process minded and has a strong business development background. The Regional Member and Partner Engagement Manager must be a leader who is able to build new relationships with corporations and other organizations that could become members or funders of WEConnect International locally.

Position Responsibilities: 

Business Development

  • Work closely with the Regional Director for Europe, the Vice President of Member Development and the Regional Market Lead in efforts focused on engaging member buyers, establishing business connections and positioning WEConnect International’s brand among private and public stakeholders in the region
  • Act as the lead in the engagement and expansion of WEConnect International’s member buyers’ presence in Europe
  • Develop fundraising strategy for all regional events and work in close collaboration with WEConnect International’s Business Development team and Regional Director to execute a business development strategy
  • Develop pipeline by conveying key messages and information to raise their interest in becoming members of WEConnect International and close local/regional members

Organisational Management

  • Understand member buyers’ procurement processes and engage them accordingly in strategic activities and events in the region to enhance the business opportunities with women-owned businesses
  • Recognize strategic needs but able to develop into functional execution plans and goals
  • Support the implementation of member buyer-led projects in the region
  • Work with member buyers to develop strategies that support them in buying more from women-owned businesses and offering WEConnect International’s set of tools to enhance business connections, including training to procurement officials on Supplier Diversity and Inclusion
  • Conduct stakeholder research, outreach, and build relationships and partnerships to identify grants available in the region and/or opportunities for additional funded projects
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the issues relevant to women as business owners, issues impacting global value chains, and best practices in supply chain development and opportunities

Key Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and one other regional language such as French, German or Spanish – required

 Relevant educational background – undergraduate degree required, MBA or similar advanced degree highly desired

  • Creative sourcing and networking for new member growth
  • Ability to problem solving during engagements and interactions with key prospects
  • Experience in relationship management with regional and multinational corporations
  • Familiarity with procurement practices nationally and internationally and/or knowledge and experience with supply chain systems and processes
  • Experience and relationships in gender equality a plus
  • Proven success in sales and business development
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead the development and implementation of projects, set and meet targets independently, and to manage and deliver projects according to timelines
  • Ability to communicate and present to a wide variety of audiences
  • Understanding of the business case for buying from women-owned businesses
  • Financial acumen and continuous focus on Return on Investment
