My career started working in retail for a women's clothing store whilst studying, becoming Deputy Manager and then Manager for failing stores to inject some enthusiasm into the team and turn the stores profitable outlets again.

In 1998, I moved into recruitment for Manpower and in 2001, took my first step into Banking, working for RBS, one of my Manpower client as temporary executive secretary, converted to perm within 6 months and became Executive Assistant within a year. Throughout my 8 and half years at the bank, I secured a number of promotions including Equity Derivatives Business Manager (working relationship with Quants and Head of Desk and was asked to move over due to my work passion and performance). Following a redundancy at the end of 2009, I continued my Banking career, again as a temp and converted to perm following a headhunt from a rival firm.

At the end of 2011, I decided to take a break from the corporate world and opened a secondhand clothing boutique in St Albans, and 6 months after opening, I was awarded Retailer of the Year and was a founding member of the Retail Working Group within the city council.

In 2014, I was headhunted by Barclays to work on a Regulatory project and grew my role into a multifaceted one, managing 2 teams and creating a communications shared service across 21 projects.

In December 2015, I decided to pursue a lifelong dream and traveled to India to embark on yoga and meditation training. In 2017, on a beach in India, I received a request from a headhunter to apply for a role, for which I had a telephone interview and joining BNY Mellon in July 2017 - my first ever role in Technology, as PMO for Markets Technology, FX. I built on my role becoming Project Manager for a number of projects including Greenfield Transformation Program (the top priority for the bank), and in April 2018 was asked to step up into the role of Program Manager for the same program across all Markets Technology.
