The Working to Advance STEM education for African Women (WAAW) Foundation provides opportunities for quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programming for African girls, aged 11 to 30 years as a means to close the economic, innovation, and achievement gap for African women in the 21st-century technology-driven global economy. Our overarching goal is to lessen the disparity between the numbers of African girls versus boys entering STEM fields.

WAAW Foundation is regional, working to empower girls with our programs to reach entire Sub-Saharan Africa. Our Target beneficiaries are under-represented secondary and University students, in particular girls from poor socio-economic backgrounds in public schools. We work with marginalized, disadvantaged, and disabled girls. WAAW Foundation is headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria with an operational office in Calabar Nigeria, and Allen, Texas USA.
