I am a full stack Software Engineer within Global Technology at JP Morgan Chase, working with a diverse range of technologies to develop and support the firm’s data centre telemetry tool.
My day-to-day responsibilities include upgrading the current technical stack whilst maintaining and coding new features for our applications. My efforts gained senior buy-in and my user interface designs have since become part of our process to ensure the firm enacts user-centric designs. Beyond my role, I am a key participant in the firm’s diversity efforts as a member of the black employee network leadership team and an avid member of the women in technology initiative.
Prior to working in the financial sector, I was an accredited Biomedical Scientist. Subsequently, I transitioned into the technology sector via a 3-month Java development program. Following the training, I secured a junior developer position at Standard Chartered Bank where I helped automate the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for the bank’s foreign exchange application and helped several teams develop agile processes and tools.
