Treasa Davitt | Test Manager | Transport for London

 

With a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick, I embarked on a technology career that has spanned over two decades.

I began my career working for a telecommunications company as a Test Analyst in 2002. I was promoted to a Test Lead before I left to join PlayStation as a Senior Test Analyst in 2006. It was at PlayStation that my love for agile began. I was promoted to Test Lead and then to Test Manager.

In 2014, I began work at Transport for London. I initially joined as a Senior Test Analyst and Scrum Master, responsible for integration testing and driving the adoption of agile methodologies within the organisation. My dedication to driving continuous improvement led to my promotion as the Integration Test Architect, where I formulated and implemented test strategies for the contactless card payment program. I then took on the role of Integration Agile Test Lead. In this position, I defined and implemented the test strategy for the contactless Programme and ensured the delivery of high-quality releases within budget and timescales. I coordinated third-party integration testing activities, mentored stakeholders on agile testing best practices, and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

In 2016 I was promoted to Test Manager at TfL. In this role, I have been responsible for leading the testing function across Technology Development’s product portfolio. I have defined testing strategies, implemented high levels of test automation within agile frameworks, and ensured the delivery of high-quality software. I take pride in my ability to transform testing disciplines, implement innovative practices, and nurture talent within my team.

2018 I was the Interim Development manager for the Online Development teams (in addition to my Test Manager role).

In September 2019, in addition to the Test Manager role was asked to transform the Technical Delivery function, leading a team responsible for the technical aspects of complex, cross-organisational, multi-vendor deliveries. I am still managing this team along with my Test Manager role.
