Women in tech awards
Our Women in tech awards, the TechWomen100 awards look to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women working in technology.
Given our strategic objective of supporting the female pipeline, the activities of WeAreTechWomen and the success of our Rising Star awards, we are proud to host an awards series that showcases emerging tech talent and creates role models for the industry.

TechWomen100 Awards
After the successful launch of TechWomen50 in 2017, WeAreTechWomen expanded our reach to recognise the achievements of 100 women in tech in 2018. We also set a strategic objective to use the awards to highlight 1,000 future female tech leaders by 2030. To date, we have celebrated the success of over 475 incredible women, alongside outstanding tech networks, senior champions who are driving change and companies who are doing their upmost to support the careers of their female technologists.
Now in their sixth year, the TechWomen100 awards are once again looking to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women working in technology.

Why TechWomen100?
It is no secret that the technology industry lacks female representation at all levels. Women make up just 17 per cent of the industry. There are some fantastic awards for women working in tech, however, most of these focus on senior women.
Whilst we feel it is extremely necessary to highlight senior and influential women, we also believe the pipeline of female technologists need a platform to shine.
This is why the TechWomen100 Awards were created. Our awards focus solely on women working in tech below director level. We hope that by highlighting the accolades of up-and-coming inspirational female tech talent, we can help to create a new generation of female role models for the industry, and a pipeline of future leaders.

The Process
Nominations will open online on 01 July via WeAreTechWomen. Nominations will close after a six-week period on 12 August.
A shortlist of 200 women from a range of technology disciplines will be chosen in October by an esteemed panel of judges. There will also be a shortlist of three Champions, Global Award of Achievement, Companies and Networks.
The shortlist will then be published and we will also open the TechWomen100 individual category for public votes of support.
Winners will be announced in October and be invited to celebrate their achievement at our ticketed ceremony on 09 December (please note there is a cost associated with attending the awards ceremony). During the evening, we will celebrate with live entertainment and present awards to our TechWomen100, a Champion of the Year, a Global Award of Achievement, a Company of the Year, Network of the Year, Public Vote winner and our Editor’s Choice Award.
Winning this award has provided me with some really great exposure. After winning this I went on and won Women in IT Awards Advocate of the Year 2020. I have been featured as one of 5 Inspirational Women in IT in Interface Magazine. I have been asked to speak at events and be a part of panel discussions.
Carly Britton
I've since spoken at EU Parliament in December and was appointed co-CEO of Ada’s List, Europe’s largest community for women in tech.

Winning the award was an absolute honour. I was over the moon as I did not expect to get that far, and it really encouraged me to trust in my capability and empowered me to make more contributions to the Women in Tech community.
